Korioto, the twin brothers, were born and raised in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia. Since a very early age they felt a need to show their love for electronic music and what better way to do it then becoming DJ's. Under the guidance of DJ Steven K they began to feel a love for vinyl, the mixer and the turntables. Hence they became a part of the Cartagena night movement, and years later would be known for DJing at some of the best afterhours nightclubs.
During their DJ journey, Korioto has shared sets with such DJ's as: Angel Alanis, Stingray, Gordon Weis, Steve Mass, Liluca 2, DJ Fadul, Julio Montes, Fruto Mejia, Padilla, Steven K and many others. Korioto made the transition to music production and have been hard at work in the studio using the latest technology for the creation of their tracks. Their big breakout remix of "I Need Someone" by superstar and world known DJ Ralph Falcon put them on the map globally.
They later released an EP called "Barcelona Meets Cartagena" with Ivan Gomez on Southside Records which propelled this release into the top 100 Beatport Chart for 4 weeks in a row. Soon thereafter the Korioto tracks "Work My Beats" and "Seduction" became a part of the repertoire of many big DJ's worldwide such as: Kevin Saunderson, Chus and Ceballos, Dario Nu?ez, Saeed Younan, Peter Rauhofer, Oscar G, Ralph Falcon, Armand Suffers, Alan T as well as George Morel. Many Korioto tracks and remixes have been at the top of the charts on many digital download sites such as: Juno, Trackitdown, Masterbeat and Beatport.
Korioto have been an influential part of the global house music scene working for many world-known labels such as: Nervous Records, Southside Recordings, U-Phonic Records, Helium Records, Oryx Music, Kitsam Records, Groove On Records as well as countless others.
They have evolved and incorporated many styles, traveling through the energetic sounds of House Music, passing into Tribal House, Tech-House and even Progressive House Music. Korioto sets are full of percussive rhythms, acid sounds and melodies that unchain an explosive mixture of pure adrenaline.
